Gameways’ Wildlife Management course is the perfect combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Students who successfully complete the course and have the right personality can immediately start a career as a Wildlife Farm Manager. During the course, we help and encourage students to reach their full potential, allowing them to confidently live out their passion for nature.
The wildlife industry in South Africa offers many exciting opportunities for people with the necessary knowledge and love for nature. Game Ranches alone cover about 25% of South Africa’s land area, and each one needs hard-working, passionate wildlife farm managers with the necessary skills and knowledge.
The wildlife industry is constantly changing, and Gameways’ study guides are regularly updated to ensure students stay current with the latest industry trends.

All courses, except for anti-poaching and lodge management, are conducted in Afrikaans. Students who understand Afrikaans are welcome to sign up.

Course Details
- No special subjects or nature knowledge are required to enrol in the course. Students only need to be able to read, learn, and write
- The course takes place on a game Ranch just outside Steenbokpan, 65 km from Ellisras (Lephalale) in the Limpopo Province. (Facilities may change)
- The course fee for 2024 starts at R19,850 for approximately 27 days
- 18-55 years old
- The course is conducted in Afrikaans and is open to both male and female students
- The course can accommodate only 8 external students
- Spots for the first 8 students who submit a registration form and provide a 50% deposit to Gameways will be reserved
- The balance of the tuition fees is due before the course start date
- Transportation is available from OR Tambo Airport and a central point in Pretoria (R1,450 round trip), subject to a minimum level of interest
